Happy Crafting
It’s Inauguration Day, and what better art to create than rainbow-ish happiness?!
From designer Ann Corbiere-Scott, “Aunt Dee” was watercolored and mounted onto a slimline card. Ann has so many designs that I absolutely adore, and that I will certainly be sharing!
This image just makes me happy on a day when so much history has been made. There’s too much unrest around us...let’s just create and bring out the joy!!
What makes you happy? Please share your joy with me!

Healing has begun!
Hello, crafty friends!!
I am so happy to report that my stitches have come out, and the healing is coming along very well on the thumb! I was able to get back into the craft room, and got the doctor’s okay to resume all normal activities, as my hand allows.
I joined a challenge this past week with TWStudios, under the tutoring of Tracy Weinzapfel. She pulled me out of my crafty funk and showed me how much fun freehand art can be.
With Sharpie markers and a pallet of watercolor paints, magic was created!

Working while laid-up
A quick and brief post to let you all know that my hand surgery was successful! Now I’m on to the healing.
While healing, I’m working on cutting papers for Valentine’s Day, more beautiful transfers, and icing my hand...because I’m not really supposed to be doing anything. ☺️
Here are just a few pretty things to look at, and to let you know what you can do...even with one hand!

Welcoming in the new year
2020 sure proved to be a force to be reckoned with, but we persevered and came through better for it!
2021 opens the doors for better opportunities, shining lights and happiness abounding. I’m going to gather all I can, and make the very best of each and every day!
My “word” for 2021 is JOYSOME, an adjective meaning causing joyfulness. Doesn’t that sound fabulous; to bring joy into each and every day? Heck YES it does! As I create and share my work, paper crafts, woodworking, macrame, or whatever it may be, I hope to infuse a little joy into your day!
Give some thought to your intentions and let me know what your word is for 2021 ~ I would LOVE to hear what and why you chose yours.
Here is just a snippet of the fun I’ve created for the new year! Exploring, creating, traveling, and getting back to some sort of normalcy...that is my wish for all of us.
Be safe as you celebrate ~ talk to you again next year! 🤩
✨Cheers, Jan

Watercolor Endeavors
As I pursue new creative endeavors for 2021, I step outside my “comfort zone” and strive to conquer new techniques.
I’ve always said, “oh, I can do that”, but have never considered myself to be very good at watercoloring. Well, now is the time to learn and become someone who can say, “YES! I can do that, and I am bloody good at it!” I am going to watch as many videos as it takes, and take as many classes as possible from those I admire in the art/card-making field in order to hone in on achieving just what it takes to become, not necessarily an expert, but good...good enough to get out of my own way and become happy with my outcomes.
Here are a few of my pieces to-date...in-progress and completed; organic, hand drawn then painted, rubber stamped and painted or digital images and painted.
Input, insights and critiques are welcome! I have strong shoulders...but I ask you be kind, and offer direction. I’ll take it with the intent it is given. I need to learn, and am willing.
✨Cheers!
